Sunday Stash #32 - How Does That Happen

Seriously?! Where has a week gone to?

I have been head down bum up working, sewing and trying to manage my almost 5 year old....3 weeks until she's off to school??

I'm not sure if school is ready for her but she and her "sassy attitude" are definitely ready LOL

The girl child after 3 boys is certainly a challenge

Anywhoo onto luscious fabric!
I didn't intentionally pick a coordinating fabric bundle while I was shopping but I think these all play really nicely together....maybe another baby quilt LOL

Cotton & Steel Cosy is very cute but in the modern funky way only C& S can do.
These three are in the quilt cotton substrate ( big word ay )
Teddy and the Bears in Light Ballerina and Mint with Dream Owl in Lilac on the bottom.

These two are from the Brushed Twill range, just gorgeous, enough fluff to make them snuggly but not as thick as a flannel....I will be buying more! Dream Owl in Aqua and Pale Nightfall

Now these lovelies are from Amy Sinibaldi's Les Petits range for Art Gallery.
Top to bottom is Checks in Graphite and Indigo, Dots in Indigo & Baby Blue and Strokes in Indigo & Natural.

Lastly two from Sweetwater's Sunday Supper. Plus design in Teal and American Blue.

So that's a wrap for another Sunday Stash and another week begins xxx

Sunday Stash #31 - Fits & Starts

So this must be a Start week not a Fit week as I'm here in the bloggyverse for the third time!

Fabric is always arriving regardless of whether I tell you about it or not.......if I don't tell anyone is it actually real, or new for that matter?? LOL

Adrianne from I Love Fabric is one of my fabric crack dealers and she always has the freshest fabric lines, but equally well seems to keep the best or most useful lines in stock.
This is one of my latest bundles from her....what you don't see is the Cheshire Stripe in White that I actually needed for my Making Tracks binding.....the rest just sort of fell in there.

Alison Glass is the master of bold saturated colours and also my great love, low volume. Hers have wonderful detail which keeps you looking despite reading as one light colour.
So above we have Grow in Pansy and Silver...which are both on sale ;)

Then from top to bottom Overgrown in Cactus, Link in Chain, Overgrown in Cloud, Endpaper in Platinum and Auburn and finally my all time Fave Stitched in Paper

Here they all are together so you can see the differences in colour, from the top it's Paper, Cloud Chain, Silver and Platinum.

Text in Black is always handy in the stash so 1 yard is a sensible purchase!

I've been after some of the reprinted Henna prints by Sandi Henderson for a while, for no particular reason other than they're cuuute, so these three filled up the bag.

Bottom is Petite Henna in Petal, then Berry and on the right Blackberry....delicious! And only $7.48/yard on sale!!!

I missed the link up with My Boy for last week so I'll try again this week since I'm all grown up like and on to it!

Sunday Stash #30 - It's Been A While

I know it's been over a month! Can you believe it?

But the good news is I'm almost caught up with all my sewing commitments, and don't think for a second that there hasn't been fabric pouring through the door....

The first pile is actually from Xmas when my gorgeous girlfriend, who sadly married an American and moved away, came home for a warm Xmas and was my own personal fabric mule!!
It's from Fabricworm and is a Birch Organics line called Wink.

To be honest it feels quite crisp and almost stiff so I'll be interested to see how it washes once made into a quilt........FYI yes that is a new ironing  board cover made by Moi in AH Heath...thanks for noticing ;)

I don't think these two lines need any introduction and I just LOVE them both and will get MORE MORE MORE....my lovely Fabric Shack had run out of the Cotton & Steel gingham in Black but I will track some down elsewhere ;)

Above is C&S Checkers Woven Basics and below is their Add It Up line

Aaand this is our new baby.
He is a present for Little OWB for her 5th birthday!!!.....I know right?!... she goes to school in 5 weeks!
He's a designer baby Ragdoll/Birman cross ( rolls her eyes) and so was ready a few weeks earlier....he is being loved to death which fortunately he doesn't seem to mind... thankgoodness.

I do have a few finishes to share so I will TRY to get them here for you to see XXX

Linking up with my Sparkle Boy who's sipping Champers as we speak high in the sky!
And I know it's still Sunday for those peeps in the Northern Hemisphere ;)

Sunday Stash #29 - Just A Quick Hi & Bye

Hi Lovely Peeps!

Just a quick in and out so I can rush downstairs and squeeze in some sewing time before the weekend is over...sigh...how can we get a three day weekend and a four day working week to be a real thing!!

So this happened first....Stitchbird had a destash of fat quarters and I spied my fave Posy print by Aneela Hoey, boom sold!

Annnd then

Two of three parcels that I've been expecting from Massdrop...don't judge LOL....finally appeared after tracking them down, apparently they'd been sent with my name, country and postcode.....but no street address? I am definitely not that famous, or hopefully infamous, in my town!
Invisafil 100wt thread for EPP....don't laugh...I will get to do some eventually and a throwback Tula bundle which has a little of everything in it YAY

Third parcel is AWOL but Joe ( from Massdrop ) & I are working on it....yes I know my customer service guy at MD by his first name!!

Then I Love Fabric had a sale....

I was really only looking at the True Colours that were going crazy cheap, like the AMH Filigree in Dusk, the one on the bottom

And the Tula Pink Making Waves in Navy, one on the top

And then the whales called me in their best Dory impersonation sounding whale, and the whole bundle of S.S.Bluebird just flew into my cart

And because the owner Adrienne is so ridiculously awesome at stuffing a flat rate envelope for the overseas peeps, I snagged some Denyse Schmidt Winter Walk and this 8" Clammy ruler and pattern.

I'm super excited about this ruler and pattern by Latifah Saafir and have watched the YouTube tutorial several times.

BUT ...big but for dramatic purposes..
I AM NOT (yelling at myself ) going to start or even cut up any fabric for this until I have completed this months Bee commitments (3) and the two quilts I have lying on my garage floor.

Hold me to it my Quilty Peeps!

So thats a wrap Hi & Bye ;)

I will link  up with My Sparkly Boy when he puts down his Martini!!

Sunday Stash #28 - Yowzers There's A Bucket Load of Fabric!!

Hi Guy and Gals!!

No messing around!Yes I'm here and I'm blogging...YAY!

This is a New Year and it's the year of being organised and getting shit done!

Fabric has been marching through my front door quicker than I can sort and stack it in any semblance of order!

And quite frankly I'm too embarrassed to show you how much.....

So here's just a little snippet of a few cuties

Tula Pink never needs introducing and I didn't have these two....and they were on special...just sayin
Slow and Steady

One thing I'm finding with all the Bees I'm in this year and last year, is it quickly highlights any colours lacking in your stash.....reds are mine, I seem to have a few red/orange or red/pink but not alot of true reds.

So these two came home with me from Storybook Classics by Windham Fabrics

If anyone knows of where I can purchase some of this line in alternate colourways of all the ditsy prints I will probably send you any fabric you want from my stash!

Which then led to a frantic online search for more prints and that led to this lot!!

Top to bottom

All My Heart Type Print in Tomato and Dark Coral
Storybook Vacation which is on sale so I took the last of the Mint and Orange Daisy Dots....but you can get them here

And these two red prints are also from Storybook Vacation.....did I mention it's on sale here...

Sunday Stash #27 - Mummy Went Cray Cray On a Fabric Binge

Yes it's true!

I actually was fearful for the nutrition of my children and the meals they were going to have to digest if I continued my fabric fueled buying frenzy while away!

First of three stops! was to The Fabric Store, I'm in a bit of a let's make clothes for me and Little OWB phase so I was buying up large.....lets not talk anymore about it...sigh

There's two things I Attribute to this manic shopping frenzy

1. Uninterrupted trains of thought and total quiet within a 2 metre radius of one's person

2. Google Maps that responds to the search "Fabric Shop" and lists everything within a 20km radius

These lovelies are courtesy of Cushla's in Devonport. I didn't actually need anything but started playing around with fat quarters and then felt bad about leaving them behind.

They're all Kaffe bar the 2nd Spools in Orange and 3rd Dials in Neutral from the top which are from Melody Miller's line Trinket and Kimberley Kight's line Rotary Club respectively.the bottom stripe is by Michael James for Free Spirit

These were in a dinky little shop that stocked a bit of everything, perfect for some easy Summer tops for me and not expensive....phew

Then this was waiting for me at home courtesy of Quilthome Angels and a True Colours sale they had....there's just no question, these are like basic must haves in my stash!
Everyone needs a little Tula,Heather and Anna Maria in their life.

Now please someone tell me how to work and be at least an average Mum and have enough hours in the day to sew LOLOLOL

Sunday Stash #26 - No Blogging Does Not = No Fabric Buying

As the title says just because I've been absent from here does not mean I've been absent from my favourite online shops.

While there's internet I will shop!

Incidentally can anyone recommend a good online Canadian fabric shop that will ship internationally?.......our exchange rates are very friendly with each other!

OK enough hooha onto the fabric, courtesy of The Fabric Shack this week

So in the spirit of trying to be more organised now Little OWB no longer naps!!....it is a sad sad day when the babies get too old ( read absolutely refuse ) to nap.

I've tried to take a realistic look at my WIPS and see what I can/want to get done and what can stay as a WIP lolol

Boo by Cotton & Steel and the Freak Out by Michael Miller have been purchased so I can finish my Nested Churn Dash quilt....which is from 2014???!!!

Echino Ni-Co (sold out sorry ) ...because it was on sale and two modern solids by Jason Yenter in Raspberry and Apple ....both $5.98/yard...good buying and colours I seem to use alot of in my mini quilts?

I also bought some more Raspberry  from the Zen Chic Flow range, and was surprised by the cute selvedge.......seems to be a positive message theme appearing with some of the manufacturers. Great if you're collecting them for a project.

In the last year I've done quite a few baby quilts which I'll show you as soon as I get the posts sorted.....Don't hold your breath!!!...So Thicket by Gingiber for Moda appealed on two levels.
Black and White ( Also comes in an Ecru background ) which is so easy for either Gender.

And the cutest animals ever that aren't babyish at all but still adorable

The complimentary patterns to round out the panel and feature fabric are great for any stash!

Plus while I was in the minimalist modern baby mood I snapped up some Bundle Me Up which has a more creamy background, more like Kona Snow, but equally as cute.

As for this one.......I have know feckin idea why I bought it, but I'm sure it will come in handy....one day?!

Sunday Stash #25 - Sorry If I'm All Up In Your Grill

I know I know I'm like toothache....nothing for weeks and then a pounding in your face and head that you can't get away from!

I have multiple photos I need to release from my phone and to be fair I've had this fabric for weeks I just haven't had a chance to show you.

So step back from the screen cause here it comes

I didn't buy the whole line...I rarely do, but this pic is already missing this print as I've used it twice already and am waiting on more. Some are simply more versatile than others but together they look stunning.

These two are from the Passport collection by Moda, the top fabric is London and the bottom Tokyo
I thought these would bring a bit of variety to my low volume and B&W stash.

The next two were a bit of a gamble but I was pleasantly surprised, particularly with the bottom fabric. They are two from a line called Tiki Tok by Jenn Ski for Moda. There are 8 in the collection but I only bought the Stars in Ecru and the Fish Ecru Charcoal.A very Scandi feeling line along the lines of Lotta Jansdotter and her colours.

These were a few fillers that I just loved and wanted to have in the stash, top to bottom we have
Hello Bear, from Maker by AGF Make the Cut in Sharp and Make and Pin in Natural and from Sweetwater's Feed Company line the Sprout print in Black and the Feedsack print in Blue.

These prints are all from Bonnie & Camille's Daysail line a little Teal and some navy Script with a little Aqua to round it out.....I'm doing odd links as Fabric Shack's Store is temporarily down...sorry!

I don't think Zen Chic's Modern Background Paper range needs any introduction whatsoever! LOOOOOVVVEE IT!

In one of my previous lives I did 3 years of an Organic Chemistry degree so I geeked out a little over the hydrocarbon diagrams below and the Maths diagrams...but not as much LOL

I actually bought 2 yards of the cream pindot on the Ecru background as sometimes I get a little over my go to white backgrounds.

I know I've said time and again that I have more than enough cutesy girly prints but it's Mermaids and Narwhales!!...they clearly don't count I had to have some!

Say hello to Saltwater by Natalie Lymer for Riley Blake

OK take a breath you made it to the end..... that will be all Donkey.

Linking up with my Gorgeous Sparkly Boy who is giving away some Liberty goodness for all you addicted peeps!
