Sunday Stash #28 - Yowzers There's A Bucket Load of Fabric!!

Hi Guy and Gals!!

No messing around!Yes I'm here and I'm blogging...YAY!

This is a New Year and it's the year of being organised and getting shit done!

Fabric has been marching through my front door quicker than I can sort and stack it in any semblance of order!

And quite frankly I'm too embarrassed to show you how much.....

So here's just a little snippet of a few cuties

Tula Pink never needs introducing and I didn't have these two....and they were on special...just sayin
Slow and Steady

One thing I'm finding with all the Bees I'm in this year and last year, is it quickly highlights any colours lacking in your stash.....reds are mine, I seem to have a few red/orange or red/pink but not alot of true reds.

So these two came home with me from Storybook Classics by Windham Fabrics

If anyone knows of where I can purchase some of this line in alternate colourways of all the ditsy prints I will probably send you any fabric you want from my stash!

Which then led to a frantic online search for more prints and that led to this lot!!

Top to bottom

All My Heart Type Print in Tomato and Dark Coral
Storybook Vacation which is on sale so I took the last of the Mint and Orange Daisy Dots....but you can get them here

And these two red prints are also from Storybook Vacation.....did I mention it's on sale here...

Sunday Stash #26 - No Blogging Does Not = No Fabric Buying

As the title says just because I've been absent from here does not mean I've been absent from my favourite online shops.

While there's internet I will shop!

Incidentally can anyone recommend a good online Canadian fabric shop that will ship internationally?.......our exchange rates are very friendly with each other!

OK enough hooha onto the fabric, courtesy of The Fabric Shack this week

So in the spirit of trying to be more organised now Little OWB no longer naps!!....it is a sad sad day when the babies get too old ( read absolutely refuse ) to nap.

I've tried to take a realistic look at my WIPS and see what I can/want to get done and what can stay as a WIP lolol

Boo by Cotton & Steel and the Freak Out by Michael Miller have been purchased so I can finish my Nested Churn Dash quilt....which is from 2014???!!!

Echino Ni-Co (sold out sorry ) ...because it was on sale and two modern solids by Jason Yenter in Raspberry and Apple ....both $5.98/yard...good buying and colours I seem to use alot of in my mini quilts?

I also bought some more Raspberry  from the Zen Chic Flow range, and was surprised by the cute selvedge.......seems to be a positive message theme appearing with some of the manufacturers. Great if you're collecting them for a project.

In the last year I've done quite a few baby quilts which I'll show you as soon as I get the posts sorted.....Don't hold your breath!!!...So Thicket by Gingiber for Moda appealed on two levels.
Black and White ( Also comes in an Ecru background ) which is so easy for either Gender.

And the cutest animals ever that aren't babyish at all but still adorable

The complimentary patterns to round out the panel and feature fabric are great for any stash!

Plus while I was in the minimalist modern baby mood I snapped up some Bundle Me Up which has a more creamy background, more like Kona Snow, but equally as cute.

As for this one.......I have know feckin idea why I bought it, but I'm sure it will come in handy....one day?!

Sunday Stash #25 - Sorry If I'm All Up In Your Grill

I know I know I'm like toothache....nothing for weeks and then a pounding in your face and head that you can't get away from!

I have multiple photos I need to release from my phone and to be fair I've had this fabric for weeks I just haven't had a chance to show you.

So step back from the screen cause here it comes

I didn't buy the whole line...I rarely do, but this pic is already missing this print as I've used it twice already and am waiting on more. Some are simply more versatile than others but together they look stunning.

These two are from the Passport collection by Moda, the top fabric is London and the bottom Tokyo
I thought these would bring a bit of variety to my low volume and B&W stash.

The next two were a bit of a gamble but I was pleasantly surprised, particularly with the bottom fabric. They are two from a line called Tiki Tok by Jenn Ski for Moda. There are 8 in the collection but I only bought the Stars in Ecru and the Fish Ecru Charcoal.A very Scandi feeling line along the lines of Lotta Jansdotter and her colours.

These were a few fillers that I just loved and wanted to have in the stash, top to bottom we have
Hello Bear, from Maker by AGF Make the Cut in Sharp and Make and Pin in Natural and from Sweetwater's Feed Company line the Sprout print in Black and the Feedsack print in Blue.

These prints are all from Bonnie & Camille's Daysail line a little Teal and some navy Script with a little Aqua to round it out.....I'm doing odd links as Fabric Shack's Store is temporarily down...sorry!

I don't think Zen Chic's Modern Background Paper range needs any introduction whatsoever! LOOOOOVVVEE IT!

In one of my previous lives I did 3 years of an Organic Chemistry degree so I geeked out a little over the hydrocarbon diagrams below and the Maths diagrams...but not as much LOL

I actually bought 2 yards of the cream pindot on the Ecru background as sometimes I get a little over my go to white backgrounds.

I know I've said time and again that I have more than enough cutesy girly prints but it's Mermaids and Narwhales!!...they clearly don't count I had to have some!

Say hello to Saltwater by Natalie Lymer for Riley Blake

OK take a breath you made it to the end..... that will be all Donkey.

Sunday Stash # 15 - Sneaky Goings On

Sunday again? How did that roll around so quickly?

Must be because I have been up to no good sneaking and lurking around the internet...that sounds way more creepy when I read it back!

Let me clarify

Swap bee

I joined this, Little Quilt Swap on Instagram! Look at me getting all IG and jiggy wit it!

If you know me at all...which some of you do too well...I am a huge fan of all things Sarah and was super gutted when I missed out on the call. She stopped it at 200 and I was only a couple of hours behind the post!! But messaged me shortly thereafter to say there were 10 very sad people who just missed out....so whats another 10...YAY!

So this weeks fabric is brought to you by Fabric Shack and Super Sleuthy OWB

These three also came but in the cold light of day they didn't make the cut...too light and more pastel against the others...poor wallflowers.
PK Picnic Tonal Cherries in Butter , PK Picnic Simple Dot in Mint and White and 30s Playtime in Betty's Pink.......I don't know who Betty is but it's a weird pink, more Dusty Rose.

These are all Gracie Girl by Lori Holt and were on sale @ $4.99!!! So of course I did the practical thing and bought some to puff out the parcel.

Last but not least Sweet Things mini Cherries in Grey.....also on Sale...just sayin ;)

I also bought this book....a little disappointed by the content but it wasn't very expensive and I think I will make at least two things from it....

Plus I have been doing a little of this....all will be revealed on Tuesday...so y'all come back now!

Linking up with Molli who is going to do a T-Shirt Quilt Post soon, which I can't wait for as Mr OWB has a rather large collection of Surf Shirts that I would love to make into a quilt!

Sunday Stash - More Buying

I can't believe another week has passed with so little sewing in it but more buying?
I did however manage to get these posted off last week and VERY late I might add

These were for Danny for Stash Bee Hive #1 and are for January...I know I know!...... that's why I sent 3 blocks instead of one and some other bits and pieces...all out bribery it was!
Wonky Improv Stars with sashing, right out of my comfort zone but so much fun.

Now onto the squishy parcel, this week I am firmly blaming The Fabric Shack, I really only wanted some stash of this Riley Blake le Crème Dots

and then all this jumped into my cart as well....

Catnap by Lizzy house and Painters Canvas in Peach...a happy accident that it's the same shade. The 3 Blind Mice on the peach print are killer and I'm not really a cat person...don't hate me...so I think it's just Lizzy's general quirkiness that appeals to me?

PS. Sorry there are intermittent links to fabric pages the store catalogue went down while I was adding them...very rude!

Hello Petal by Aneela Hoey, just a few that caught my eye...I am well aware that I chose more dinky cutsie girly prints..again!! The Navy print is very deep and quite a different contrast with the dark fuschia prints.

Love this one!

I may have bought more Tasha Noel...the cute factor is ridiculous

I thought these two would make great linings for pouches or as the exterior for other novelty bits and bobs....sound like my Nana when I say bits and bobs!

Enchanted by Natalie Lymer.......stupid cute why did I bother resisting all this time

 Fox and toadstools!!

Cute girly and hedgehogs and toadstools and birdy??

Sorry about the weird lines it was really bright sun under cover, probably just as well since I had about ten more photos as I got more out of control...cute fabric relieves you of all sanity!!

thank goodness for that you say!! linking up with the divine Molli Sparkles and hopefully I will sew something this week, maybe even my February Stash blocks and the pattern testing for Alyce!!!!

Squishy Parcels

So look what was hanging outta my mailbox when I got home

Bad, bad, bad OWB...I  forgot that I had ordered them??.. and even better what I had ordered? so it was like Xmas

Delicious!!!!! Madrona Rd, Haystack and Broken Herringbone,Good Morning by Moda,Sorbet Flannel (2yards mmmmm) and a Michael Miller novelty that was too sweet to resist

Also I threw in some Meet the Gang and PKL Lover Birds in yellow and more Good Morning in turquoise and yellow..you can never have too much Turquoise

These are Benartex Bittersweet and a little too creamy for me usually but I love a good striped binding...$4.98 per yard come on!

Mmmmmmm still delicious

Blackish basics ...Good Morning in Stripe and Houndstooth and Essentials VI

This is amazing almost linen looking...gonna have a play around with this Michael Miller Siren Song in Rain

I take no responsibility for my actions and blame The Fabric Shack for everything, if they didn't have such lovely fabric on sale I would be winning the war against the fabric pile.......
