I Am A Machine!

There is nothing like getting out of town for a break and if I get my behind organised ahead of time I can usually ( hahaha read "always") find a half finished project lying around to take on the trip.

So this time it was my Painted Ladies from Fig Tree Quilts all that was needed was binding.

You know when you see a pattern that you just wanna do straight away for no other reason than you have an itch and it needs scratching right now...that was this pattern

Weird ay...sorry for the ultra bright photos the sun kept coming and going from behind a cloud and I wanted it to stay behind the cloud!!

The border fabric decided the colour palate for me and as I used it all , and wish I had bought more, it is my favourite part.....feeling a bit angst about having none left now I've said that...should I buy more....mmmmm

One of my favourite wing combos

Michael Miller dumb dot for binding...perfect in grey and powder blue...love a spot binding almost as much as a stripe

Delicious snuggly backing...though as I write it's 24 degrees celcius

A little FMF for a wing is damn near perfect don't ya think?

  1. This is beautiful. I have some of the fabric you have used for the boarder waiting to be made into a project bag type thing. Love it!

  7. I suffer from the same problem.....when I see or design something new it doesn't matter that I am working on several quilts already. Have to see how the fabrics look - how the design comes together.
